Social responsibility
KOGENERACJA S.A. precisely plans its actions concerning the social responsibility, ethics and Sustained Development, and its decisions prove that these programmes are dynamic and constantly evolving.
1. Council of Ethics
The Council of Ethics, comprising the representatives of the Company’s employees, functions outside its formal structures, as a voluntary service. The Council of Ethics contributed to:
- determination of the clear and expected ethical stances in the Company,
- development of a discrete and widely known system of submission of complaints and proposals and flow of the return information,
- raising the awareness of and sensitivity for the ethical problems of all the employees by a proper training,
- change of interpersonal relations in the Company,
- lowering of the number of the ethical problems in the Company,
- making sure that the employees have an access to information on the subject called „Values of KOGENERACJA S.A.” and ethics and current activities of the Council of Ethics,
- taking care of reputation and good image of our organisation not only inside the Company.
2. Implementation of „The Programme of Aid for the Socially Sensitive Customers” with participation of GOPS and MOPS for the inhabitants of Siechnice and Wrocław.
3. Execution of „The programme of aid for the people abusing psychoactive substances” in cooperation of the Association of the Crisis Aid KARAN - www.karan.pl
4. Programmes of support for organisations integrating handicapped persons with their social surroundings:
- For the last seven years, a patronage over the International Tennis Tournament on Wheelchairs organised in Wrocław by the Lower Silesia Association of Handicapped Athletes AKTYWNI - www.aktywni.wroclaw.pl
- Patronage over the International Dancing Integration Tournament „Pergola” that this year will become an international tournament.
- Permanent cooperation with the Wrocław Sejmik (Little Parliament) of Handicapped Persons - www.wson.wroc.pl
5. Project of Industrial Tourism run in cooperation with the former employees of KOGENERACJA S.A., currently pensioners.
6. Support for the Domestic Hospice.
7. Moreover, we appointed:
- Representative for Handicapped People,
- Foundation of Power Industry Employees
- Józef Pupka Foundation that supports talented students from poor families - www.fjp.org.pl
8. Employees of KOGENERACJA S.A. are active in charitable actions for needy people.
Our new initiatives:
- Patronage over the Centre of Sociotherapy at ul. Kielecka 51 in Wrocław
Patronage over the Centre of Sociotherapy is one of the elements of the achievement by KOGENERACJA S.A. (in the years 2009 – 2011) of one of its strategic goals.
KOGENERACJA S.A., with the Trade Unions that are active in the Company, for over 10 years has been supporting pupils of the Centre of Sociotherapy (financial support and gifts, organisation of charitable events and actions). Now, it is time to make the next step in the direction of making cooperation with the Centre closer – in cooperation with the Centre’s Management, authorities of Wrocław (that is the owner and manager of this property) signed was an agreement on the execution of the programme of implementation of the most effective power saving actions in the Centre that permit us to achieve significant savings in the electric power consumption , use of renewable sources of energy and many educational actions aiming at the awakening of the pro-ecology stances among youths.
This project conducted by KOGENERACJA S.A. has an innovative character – a support for the Centre within the Company’s own business. This is the way of giving the proverbial fishing rod thanks to which the aid for the Centre will have a long-term character. In addition to that, KOGENERACJA S.A. will acquire a structure that will be a determinant of the energy services provided by the Company.
