Network heat
The network heat is the hot water circulating in the pipes of FORTUM Power and Heat (a former MPEC). It is produced in cogeneration with electric power at KOGENERACJA S.A. A part of our production is the green energy by co-combustion of coal with biomass. This hot water is produced for the needs of central heating, hot tap water or for technological processes. We produce it:
Network heat of the new generation
Modern system of distribution – single-function heat distribution centre with the system of heating devices located in flats
The heating devices in the flats are equipped with meters, and that’s why network heat can be paid for in accordance with its consumption. We enter into individual agreements with the flat occupants. Any occupant, thanks to the individual meter, knows exactly how much heat he/she consumed (GJ) and what is the price for it. A modern technology that is used there guarantees a reliable and long-term use. Modern heat distribution centres are simple in operation and assembly, so nobody has to be employed for their operation.
Electric power
Electric power is produced by KOGENERACJA S.A. with the use of the process of cogeneration. This process assures high energy efficiency and, thanks to the low levels of emissions, protection of the environment. A part of our production is the green energy coming from combustion of coal with biomass.
Network chill
The technology of production of the ice water from steam uses the phenomenon of absorption. The steam of the temperature of 170oC is delivered to the absorber that processes it to the ice water of the temperature of 7oC and hot water of the temperature of 90oC.
KOGENERACJA S.A., producing the network heat and electric power in cogeneration, aiming at an increase of the consumption of heat in the summer and, thanks to it, to produce more electric power, installed a pilot system of cooling down its own office rooms.
